Venture Onward LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a mobile application designed for interactive experiences. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our app and related services (the “Services”).
 

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
 

1.  Information We Collect

     a.  Information you provide

          i.    Account details: name, email address, display name, and any profile info you submit.

          ii.   Support messages: feedback, bug reports, and other communications.

     b.  Information collected automatically

          i.    Device & app info: device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, app version, language, time zone.

          ii.   Usage data: screens viewed, features used, interactions, crash logs, performance data.

          iii.   Approximate or precise location (with your consent): Used to show nearby experiences, place map pins, log game visit context, or enable location-based features. Collected only when you grant the Location permission. If you deny permission, some features may not work. We do not continuously track your location in the background unless we clearly ask for background permission and you allow it.

     c.  Camera data (with your consent)

          i.   Camera access: used to scan QR codes or similar markers. We do not store camera feeds. We process scans on-device and only keep the resulting code or link as needed to unlock content.

     d.  Cookies / local storage

          i.   The app may store tokens and preferences on your device (e.g., using secure storage or AsyncStorage).

2.  How We Use Information

     We use information to:

     a.   Provide and improve the Services and core features (maps, location-based content, QR/NFC scanning).

     b.   Authenticate users, maintain accounts, and remember preferences.

     c.   Diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, secure accounts, and enforce our Terms.

     d.   Analyze engagement to improve experiences.

     e.   Communicate with you (service announcements, support replies).

3.  Sharing & Disclosure

     We do not sell your personal information. We may share:

     a.   Service providers (processing under our instructions): hosting, analytics, crash reporting, authentication, and maps.

     b.   Legal / safety reasons: if required by law or to protect users, our rights, or the Services.

     c.   Business transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4.  Third-Party Services

     Our app may use third-party SDKs and APIs (e.g., Firebase for auth/analytics/crash reporting; Google Maps for maps/geocoding). These providers may receive device and usage data per their privacy policies.

5.  Your Choices & Controls

     a.   Permissions: You can grant or revoke Location and Camera permissions in your device settings. Revoking may limit certain features.

     b.   Opt-out of marketing (if used): Follow unsubscribe links in emails or contact us at info@ventureonward.org.

     c.   Delete account / data: Contact us at info@ventureonward.org to request deletion.

     d.   Access/Correction: You may request a copy of your data or ask us to correct inaccuracies.

6.  Data Retention

     We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, to comply with legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. When no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

7.  Security

     We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8.  Children’s Privacy

     The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9.  International Transfers

     We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Those locations may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Region-Specific Notices

     a.  California (CCPA/CPRA): You may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain sharing. We do not sell personal information. To exercise rights, contact info@ventureonward.org.

     b.   EEA/UK (GDPR): You may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

11. Changes to This Policy

      We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, where required, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Policy.

13.  App Permission Summary

     a.   Location: to show nearby content and enable map features (only with consent).

     c.   Photos/Media (if requested): only for user-initiated uploads or saves.

Delete Account and Data - Right to be Forgotten

1. Everyone has a rightto be forgotten. Send a message requesting your account and data to be deleted to info@ventureonward.org and your account and data will be deleted forever within 72 hours.
